Can someone tell me how the Zombie box functions and what its capabilities are? Anyone use them? How do they work for you?

The zombie box is a complete gun in a box without an IR emitter. As such, it has all of the capabilities of an advanced gun, although some are meaningless (i.e. ammo variables).
I use them for the interactive haunted house and they're useful there. Outside of that, mine have radios, so I have used them in the past as a radio ref box to start and stop games. You can drill a hole and add an un-lensed emitter to create a full ref box out of one of them.
They are also useful as base targets. I have played games where the goal is to eliminate the opponent's base. To make it more reasonable, I set the base to a 20 second hit delay (so it can only be hit once every 20 seconds) then play a respawn game. This is a decent team game in a small area. Not as good as domination, but close.

Thanks, that makes sense. One more... besides the RF capability, what is the difference between the Zombie Box and the VIP Box?

VIP box has a basic code set (think Skinny) while the Zombie Box has the advanced code set (think Stinger).
